Tatooine

Tatooine was a habitable dry world composed mostly of desert flats orbiting twin suns.

Climate & Terrain

From orbit Tatooine appeared yellow and could be mistaken as another sun due to the amount of light the planet reflected due to its twin suns. Due to its position in a binary star system, Tatooine revolved around two stable G1 and G2 class stars far away enough to support life on the world. Tatooine's environment consisted of a dry atmosphere and deserts that were composed mostly of sodium-rich sands and flats.

History

During the Rebellion against the Empire Princess Leia's galactic cruiser carrying important data tapes was intercepted above the planet by Imperial Forces led by Darth Vader. During the raid the data tapes were hidden inside the droid R2-D2 and given a mission, he along with his counterpart C-3PO escaped the doomed ship aboard an escape pod and made there way to the surface.
