Biography

Before Star Wars

Fall of a Jedi Knight

During the Clone Wars Darth Vader was the pupil to the Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi, studying under him learning the ways of the Force until falling to the Dark Side. He was swayed by the Emperor into betraying and murdering the Jedi Knights to the point of extinction including Luke Skywalker's father.[2]

A New Hope

Darth Vader was tasked with retrieving the stolen Death Star plans, he managed to intercept and capture the Rebel ship transporting the plans above Tatooine. Vader boarded the ship and started questioning the captured personnel. One of the officers he interrogated was strangled by Vader after he refused to divulge any useful information to him, he ordered any passengers to be captured and brought before him. He would end up with another lead to the plans in the form of Princess Leia Organa who was captured, questioned and arrested by Vader, who was confident she had knowledge of the location of the plans. Soon he was also alerted to an escape pod that had been jettisoned from the enemy ship, with a possibility that the plans were hidden inside of it he ordered a squad of stormtroopers to investigate.[3]
