Obi-Wan Kenobi (Pronounced: O-bē-wän Kĕ-nō'-bē) was a Jedi Knight who served the Old Republic during the Clone Wars. He would later go by the name of Ben Kenobi and lived as a hermit on the planet of Tatooine.

Before Star Wars
Fall of a Jedi Knight
During the Clone Wars General Obi-Wan Kenobi served the Old Republic including Bail Organa and was the teacher to two pupils Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker's father whom he taught the ways of the Force to. His student Darth Vader was seduced by the Dark Side of the Force in service to the Emperor he betrayed and hunted down the Jedi Knights, Obi-Wan would survive but his other pupil would be murdered by Vader. Obi-Wan would assume the name of Ben Kenobi sometime before Luke Skywalker's birth.[1]
